Juan Ramón Barat (Valencia, 1959) is a writer and a high school teacher. He cultivates all literary genres and has won several awards and prizes for his poetry, plays and narrations. Among his work in prose, special mention should be made to the historical novel Jaime I el Rey templario and Deja en paz a los muertos, a story full of suspense awarded with the Premio Hache 2014 to the best novel for young adults. La sepultura 142 is the sequel of the awarded novel and Llueve sobre mi tumba closes the trilogy. He has also published Poesía para gorriones and the mistery novel Clara en la oscuridad.
