Ludwig was born in the heart of Germany, in a very rich family. The child is healthy and intelligent, but has a small physical defect: he has enormous feet! His parents decide to protect him against the evil world that can be very cruel to a child like their son. Despite all their precautions, Ludwig is kidnapped by a Circus that displays him as an extraordinary product of Nature.

Far away, at the centre of London lives Frank Underwood. His father repairs the famous (and forgotten) Underwood typewriters but nobody enters his shop anymore. Only the income from Frank’s mother saves them from misery. But one morning, Frank knows the solution for a quiz on a Radio Program. The prize is a trip to the seaside and he wins! He and his father decide to go together and for one day forget their grey life.

Ludwig and Frank represent two very different lives, so different that in the end they have far more in common than they suspect.
