Once more the New Spanish Books shortlist 2017 has been published. El navegant by Joan-Lluís Lluís has been one of the 14 books chosen out of almost 300 titles!

The Panels are usually formed by six industry experts, amongst which there are publishers, translators, critics, booksellers, and a permanent representative from the British Centre for Literary Translation (BCLT). Panellists change every edition to allow as many people as possible to be part of the project. The panel meets twice and decisions are based on their knowledge, experience and intuition, as well as on reader’s reports. Members of the panel take their decisions with total independence.

El navegant has received the critics Award, Premi Crítica Serra d'Or and has reached already the 3rd edition. Joan-Lluís Lluís is considered one of the most powerful and recognised literary voices among Catalan writers.
