The return, the rentrée, arrives as intense as every year. Coming back is never quiet!
A date that always makes us excited is the last Friday of the month, the day when Asterisc celebrates its anniversary. This year it’s the ninth—nine years gone by in the blink of an eye!
September also brings La Setmana, The Catalan Book Week, full of events and new books and, especially, the Fellowship organized by the Institut Ramon Llull, when some foreign publishers visit the city to discover and immerse themselves in Catalan literature.”
Book lovers, make room on your to-be-read pile and head to La Setmana (19–28/09, Passeig Lluís Companys, Barcelona). Stroll among the bookstalls, look for your favorite publishers and discover new ones, chat with editors, attend presentations and round tables, ask for a signature to your favorite authors and to those you want to meet for the first time, leaf through novels, essays, books for young readers and children, choose among the autumn releases and the wonderful backlist titles.
