In the heart of a zoo full of extraordinary creatures, Dorotea, a caterpillar who sees herself as uglier than the others, dreams of the day she will become a beautiful butterfly. But the metamorphosis does not go as expected, and everything stays the same: no wings, no bright colors, and none of the beauty she had imagined. With the help of the mouse Arrebato and a group of animals as eccentric as they are fascinating, Dorotea journeys through the Insectarium, the Aquarium, and the Terrarium, discovering skills and qualities she never imagined she possessed. But when some rude visitors begin to bother her friends, the little caterpillar must choose between continuing to hide… or standing up for herself.
