The Greenhouse

The scene is the south of France under Nazi occupation during the Second World War. A girl finds refuge in the countryside in the house of a woman friend of her father’s. The shadow of a secret that hovers over both women is joined to that of a soldier who has had to hide, with an eroticism that creates obscure (and perhaps shameful) links between the three of them. This novel is the first by Jo Alexander in Catalan.
