Author Gemma Lienas wins the 38th Sant Joan Award

Gemma Lienas received the 38th Premi BBVA Sant Joan last night, one of the most illustrious Catalan literature awards, supported by the Fundació Antigues Caixes Catalanes together with the Fundació Antiga Caixa Sabadell 1859 and Edicions 62.

A prolific and well-known author, Gemma Lienas has written more than 90 books for adults, teens and children, with translations into 10 languages, and has collected several national awards and international recognitions.

A mysterious family secret that Júlia, documentary screenwriter of 31 years, discovers when she travels to Île-de-Batz to celebrate the 100th anniversary of his great grandmother; a mystery linked to the Nazi occupation suffered by the island during World War II; and the vindication of two women forgotten by history are the key elements of El fil invisible (The Invisible Thread), the winning novel that will be published next September during the Setmana del Llibre in Català.
