Starting from a historical fire in Roman Badalona at the beginning of the 4th century, El Ciclop follows the adventures and odysseys of a family through the Mediterranean Sea and deserts there. And through the narrative voices, multiple and diverse, the book speculates on a global vision of civilization until the retutn to Badalona in the mid-thirteenth century. This is how El Ciclop reflects, on the one hand, on the course of individuals and humanity, while on the other dives into epic, lyrical and irony.

Playing at mixing history and fiction, El Ciclop recovers the spirit and structure of a previous Cussà novel, La serp, to build a story that, more than a river novel, is a hybrid between mosaic and kaleidoscope: as the pieces fit , a background argument is outlined that brings together the plot of each chapter.
