Symbol similar to a little star used in written texts to draw the reader's attention

A historical novel and, at the same time, a transgressor of overly stiff genres, La serp narrates the evolution of a lineage of Empúries from the 6th century BC to the 2nd century AD. In such an extensive period, it is inevitable that the Catalan coastline becomes the setting for the most diverse societies: Iberian peoples, expansive Greeks, martial Romans, daring Punics and ecumenical Christians frequent it, make friends and engage in long-lasting disputes.

Thus, a historical course that moves forward sometimes channeled by destiny and other times altered by the most unfathomable chaos: like a reptile that lengthens and curls itself.

La serp establishes a delicate balance between the description of individual characters with psychological depth and the embodiment of the master lines of great historical periods.
