Javier Aparicio Maydeu (ed.) has dedicated to Palomar the only critical edition that exists of mythical author Italo Calvino.
 
Partisan, traveler and scrutineer; political "sui generis", idolater of language and metafiction and dilettante naturalist; scholar, nonconformist and dreamer; Calvino was above all an integral reader who became at the same time editor of Einaudi and a contemporary classic.
